Our Review Philosophy
Every review on Curated Upgrades is based on our own firsthand experience. We personally paid for nearly everything we review, unless clearly stated otherwise, and our opinions are never influenced by sponsorships or compensation.
Travel is personal. The same hotel, restaurant, airline, or experience may be perfect for one traveler and a poor fit for another. Rather than assigning numerical scores, we use a simple recommendation system based on one question:
Would we recommend it to a friend?
🟢 Go - We would confidently recommend this experience and would gladly return ourselves.
🟡 Evaluate - A good option for some travelers, but there are tradeoffs or circumstances you should understand before booking or visiting.
🔴 Stop - Based on our experience, we believe your time or money is better spent elsewhere.
Our goal isn't to tell you where to travel.
It's to share honest experiences that help you make better travel decisions.
